This is a website primarily for visualizing data collected through a phone application that helps political campaigns realize their goals through the use of cell phone + Zip codes. This application has already been written and tested by another developer. Our job is to visualize this data for the agents, thus creating a easy to follow dashboard for campaign organizers.
The second part of the website involves a news panel and a forum for the Organizers and Agents to communicate. There is also a small About page that will be basically static.
The website will need to interface with the database developed by the application coder and possibly expand it to include the data from the forums and news.
NO design is required since this has already been done. You will need to translate this design into the appropriate CSS from illustrator and Photoshop files.
**Detailed Info - IMPORTANT**
Here is the detailed info on the project as we have it so far:
Deadline: **End of January** (if possible. Otherwise we can have milestones)
The original application onto which we will be expanding:
[url removed, login to view]
This developer will also give us an API to connect with a Google maps he is developing and we will incorporate it into our site. He also has the project on github, so all details will be made available to you.
You will receive all wire frames with detailed functionality, along with Illustrator and Photoshop files, including Fonts, styles, colors in Hex, measurements, etc and you will need to develop as closely as possible to these specifications. The first wireframe will be ready by Dec. 30th and hopefully be available here. **Wireframe included here is a ROUGH VERSION AND HAS BEEN UPDATED! New wireframe available after Dec 30th!!**
Site will be open to the public, but agents and Admins (also known as moderators) will have added functionallity. Once a user logs in, the map will dissapear to give more room for news and forum. *(We will not develop the map, but we will incorporate the code provided to us.)*
Public users will see the map and interact with it (2/3 of the screen aprox). Underneath they will see the news panel which will be split into two parts: news article title on the left and the complete article on the right. There needs to be a slidebar on the left, which changes the news into the forum. forum entries wll take the whole space and agents and moderators comments will show under each thread. The right part of the screen (aproximately 1/3) will be the agents information. There will be 4 buttons on the top that rank the agents by total, this month, this week and today. The buttons will also give the total number of calls for that period. If you click on an agent, it needs to expand and show details for that agent, scrolling all other agents down. There needs to be a search function to locate specific agents. Agents can achieve badges for special achievements and they need to be "lit up" on their profile. This info will come from the mobileadvocate application.
When loged in as an agent and Admin, the Map part will dissapear and the News will move to the top to take up that space. the Forum will use the bottom part.
**Agents**: will be able to add entries to the forum, comment on other agents entries and "star" their favorite postings. Posts can have links that should open in new window. they can also edit and delete their posts (but not edit comments made by others). they can edit parts of their profile, including uploading images. They should be able to change their passwords.
**Moderators**: Will be able to do the same as Agents plus: Add, edit and delete News entries. News entries should be able to embed images, links and videos (youtube or Vimeo). Delete any posting made on the forum. Add, modify or delete Agents and reset passwords for any user. Edit the About page, which should include images, links and embedded videos.
