I run a website that has various "homepages" based upon what type of "group" of user you are. For example, you can go to [url removed, login to view] and arrive at an "All" view, or you can go to [url removed, login to view] or g2 or g3 to get a corresponding "G1," "G2," or "G3" view. These pages are currently hand-coded, and I would like to move it all to Joomla. The one thing that I can't accomplish with Joomla right off the bat, and for which I need help with is the following:
- Based upon what address the user comes in on, or which "view" is selected I would like that to be the homepage that the user sees when they hit www.XXXX.com. So if a user enters [url removed, login to view], he or she will default to [url removed, login to view] "G1" view versus the default "All" view when he or she visits [url removed, login to view] the next time. We currently do this through a little PHP and cookies. So, to reiterate, I need a Joomla extension/module/whatever that will detect what page/view a user was last on/selected, and then save that information into a cookie that will be read, and then display that page when then hit [url removed, login to view] again.
I'm sorry if that was confusing, please PM me if you have any questions.
