Check out [url removed, login to view] This is a mashup, that shows all current trains in the Netherlands, moving from one station to another in realtime. This website was made by using a timetable for all Dutch trains, combined with actual delays from the website of the Dutch railway station. I would like to have something similar for Switzerland. It might even be easier to do this for Switzerland, because online for most trainstations via [url removed, login to view] one can find all arriving and departing trains, and per train one can see if there is a delay or not, what the trainnumber is and what planned departure and arrival time is for all trainstations in between. The movement of the trains on the map is determined by calculating the distance between two trainstations and calculating the expected travel time. Here you can find the coordinates of all swiss trainstations: [url removed, login to view] or: [url removed, login to view] and here you can find the vectorlines of all swiss railroads: [url removed, login to view] So what I'm interested in, is having a map and dynamic kml-file like on [url removed, login to view], showing all current running trains, including the fact if they are delayed or not, their trainnumber, traindetails, etc. etc.
