I want to be able to put a bash script into a cron job on Linux which downloads the daily Garfield and Dilbert strips. Daily Garfield can be found at [url removed, login to view] Daily Dilbert can be found at [url removed, login to view] OR [url removed, login to view] The Garfield strips are simply named after their date+.gif, so downloading them should be no problem. I'm a bit more curious about dilbert however, as it seems they add a random number to the filename before .gif. That's why I included the [url removed, login to view] option, where the pictures seem to be named something like [url removed, login to view] - but when trying to wget it down I just get "Could not find strip." The dilbert.com-version of Dilbert is much preferred over the [url removed, login to view] one, as the picture size differs. The strips should saved into something like ~/strips/dilbert/date.gif.
