Form and PHP script to register new Wordpress users I need a simple script to process a form submission and register new users to my Wordpress blog, inserting fields into their profile based on entries in their form, and assigning them to a Role specified in the script. I need this script to register new users, even though I have disabled new user registration in Options > General > "Anyone can register" The fields on the form that I want to be processed are: Username: --> posted to WP as username Email: --> posted to WP as email Name: --> posted to WP as "nickname" Website: --> posted to WP as "website" value for that user. City & State: --> two separate fields, but combined and inserted into "About Yourself" block for that user. Subscribe to newsletter: --> Checkbox (default checked) and value (true/false) also appended to the "About Yourself" block for that user. VERY IMPORTANT. I need this script to register this user to a ROLE that I can easily change in the script. VERY IMPORTANT. I need this script to check with Wordpress before registering this user, to see if the username, email address, or website are already registered with another user. If so, the script redirects to a failure page. That's it.
