I want to have live statistics for my webserver. I don't know if it is possible, but the ideal solution would be something consisting of 1) a simple PHP-file and 2) a flash-frontend.
The php-file would be run on the webserver (linux, apache), maybe by cronjob (set to run each 1-2 seconds). It would gather all necessary data and forward it to the flash-applet which I have running on my notebook. The flash-applet would just display the statistics and maybe some nice graphs showing the usage statistic.
The php-file could maybe gather data which can be accessed by the shell on this server (cpu/memory usage etc.). However, I don't know if it is possible to get data about how many people are browsing the website hosted on this server. Maybe there exist some shell-commands for apache which outputs this data..? I need your advice here.
The data I wan't to see is:
-how many people are accessing the webserver/website
-cpu/memory usage of the webserver
Well, please let me know if this can be done. I am interested in suggestions of course.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
