==Script to Solve Duplicate Blog Post Problem==
I require a PHP/Mysql solution that removes duplicate posts from Wordpress blogs. I need the script to set up a query based on the URLs of a blog's entire posts, and somehow deletes all posts that have a numerical value of any kind in the URL. Perhaps with a Cron running.
When my feed aggregators update my blog(s) this is what we'll see. **Example:**
1) 1st original post from rss feed is:
[[login to view URL]][1] (all good and should be done at this point)
2) Then repeat posts are made as follows:
[[login to view URL]][3] - If I had a script that removes all posts that have URLs containing a numerical symbol, and runs via Cron.....problem solved.
## Deliverables
I simply want to have the script fully functional using my current Apache based Unix system. (IXhosting) And I need the script to work with the latest update of Wordpress.
Once the script is installed and running properly, it's all good and business will be concluded. I'm not concerned about ownership of this script , as it's a work of art, and the rights of the coder should be upheld. I just want working script.
## Platform
Apache - Linux -
[Ixhosting Hosting][4] (Business Plan)
PHP 5.2.3
XML Enabled
PCRE Enabled
cURL 7.15.5
Zlib Enabled
mbstring Enabled
iconv Enabled
I've attached the version of Wordpress and Wp -O- Matic all configured for upload to an Apache server for testing. I can provide the hosting server for your testing if need be. Simpliepie is configured in this folder as well. All permissions on Wp -O- Matic must be 755 all round.
Wordpress Version 2.3.1
Plugin = Wp -O- Matic
**Note: If you can simply clean up and fix this broken script (Wp -O- Matic) that would be fine too, or simply create a script that aggregates RSS feeds within Wordpress, and has a text re-write function built in, that's all good too.**
