I added a second network card to my Suse 10 Plesk 8 server, and now I get the following message, even after removing the card and its entry with YAST. Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/[url removed, login to view]' (2) The MYSQL server will not load, but all other functions appear to be working properly. I need to get this server back up ASAP. I have tried the following: Renaming [url removed, login to view] file. This works on the local network, but outside computers get timeout errors and are unable to connect to websites. Running mysqld_safe chmod 777 on /var/mysql directory Changing paths to lock files - same error with the old path occurs on servers, new path on root login to server.
