We have a windows media server (v9) and wish to have scheduled show base script that will dynamically create ASX files depending on the time. (UK) Most of the time the net radio station will play a default random play list which is hard coded on the media server. At certain times we want to schedule pre-recorded shows to be played is if they were live. We have 8 audio channels playing different types of music. By default the script will point to the ASX file which randomly selects music. When it is time to play a pre-recorded show, the script will generate a ASX file on the fly to send to windows media player. This needs to be created on the fly as the 'starttime' value needs to match however long into the show, the show is. For example if the show starts at 8pm, then at 8pm the script will automatically start creating the new ASX tag. (Containing pre defined parameters such as audio file location from an admin script) For every second that passes, the 'starttime' value needs to change. (Well, when someone clicks to listen to the audio stream it will do some math to calculate how long into the audio file the show is and forward the media player client automatically to that point) Once the show has finished the script will check to see if another show is scheduled, if not it should return to directing to the default ASX file on the server. (not created on the fly) The admin script will need to roughly ask the following: Which channel? *drop down box??*(channels defined elsewhere) Name of show? Length of show? (Hours:Minutes:Seconds) Start Time? (24 hour clock) Finish Time (24 hour clock) Location of the wma file The ASX file templates will need to be updateable. As the site changes and progresses we may need to update aspects of the audio streams. We are a very small organisation. No stupidly overpriced quotes please, they will not be considered.
