Let's start with the deliverables, and back into the "tasks": A complete and fully debugged and tested HDD system image delivered in the format of a fully restorable CD/DVD ISO images, including all appropriate documentation, to be delivered via download.
Task1, Part 1: Using Debian's Etch release (all 3 DVDs), and Debians' version of PAM, ProFTP, and MySQL, put up a complete ProFTP SSL server, with SQL based authentication, and file delivery rosters capable of MultiThreaded transfers, and all required transfer logging. Part2: browser based (PHP, Ajax, or whatever) server management, and file delivery designation or nomination suites (screens) for various server management issues.
Task2: In conjunction with Part 1 above, on a second Machine, also operating Debian Etch, bring up a scripted prototype FTP SSl client in a manner that will later allow itself to become "embedded" under uClinux. As in all such cases, the client is really in change and most of the "real coding" takes place in its realization.
