kindly follow through this tutorial: [url removed, login to view] additional task will be to set up a samba PDC which authenticates on the openldap server, on the same machine. file servers and printers must be able to be joined and shared. Bid will only be open for a week since the requirement is urgent and I cannot attend to it myself. Open to suggestions. I also need a transcript of the commands executed (simple walkthrough) and instruction set on how to join file servers / printers into the domain. Demo should be included. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Update: I was able to complete the instructions as described in the tutorial. However, I am unsure if the current ldap configuration supports group policies, I also am not sure how to create groups and join user acocunts / computers / printers into those groups. Also, I still don't have the samba PDC. Updated objectives: 1. if the ldap configuration as described in the tutorial readily supports group policies, create a group and join accounts into that group. provide a simple how-to on accomplishing this task so i can do it without assistance. 2. configure a samba PDC for single sign on. if the ldap configuration as described in the tutorial does not readily support group policies, create a workaround since group policies are important. I am pretty sure that the objectives were lessened by a bit but I am willing to retain the 100$ limit, as long as there's a possibility for the job to be completed. The main objective of this project is to create a samba/ldap service with group policies. Cheers, Marc
