I need a way of preventing a negative balance in my asterisk/a2billing setup for my voip customers. Currently, in case of an outgoing voip call, the balance is checked only before and after the call but it is not checked during the call. So if the balance at the beginning of the call is, say 0.02 the call will be allowed. During the call the balance/destination rate is not checked which might result a negative balance after the call has been completed.
I need a script/mechanism of balance/destination rate checks during the call every 10-20 sec (to be decided yet) and to cut the call off if the check returns value lower than 0.
I know this might take up a bit of resources and I need this to be done in the least affecting way.

There are few ways to do it. It is possible to do a script that will check all call and hangup it or to improve the limit of call between the call.
This is not a bid but an advice. a2billing has a fail safe mechanism that will prevent negative balance during the calls. You might want to use this. It is found in the a2billing config settings.
