Here is the specification for Redcycle Auction site.
The current site is located at www.redcycle.co.uk.
As you can see there are 2 sections, a redcycle sales section and a redcycle rentals section. We want to add a third section to this, which will be the auction section, where we want a fully functional auction site, where we can upload cars to sell through an auction.
We will do a design of how we want the front end to look and send you a copy of it in pdf or png or whatever format you want and then you will split it in CSS during the development of the site.
About Redcycle auctions
The backend will need the usual auction features, where people can come onto the site and:
register/login and create their profile
place a bid for car
time counter for how many days left for each auction car to end.
get outbid and when outbid have an email sent to them to say they have been outbid
And other standard auction features.
That is from the site customer/front end point of view. The customers can NOT upload cars to sell, ONLY red cycle can upload cars to sell on the auction. When redcycle uploads cars, they need to be able to upload 10 images for each car, and those images need to be clickable so that they will be displayed in a pop up window as a bigger image.
All cars available for auction will be listed on pages, with 10 cars per page, and then each car will be clickable to open a pop window with further options like watch item, bid on item, cancel bid etc. See [url removed, login to view]
As you can see it is a full auction site with most auction features where redcycle will upload cars for auction. More details, and the nitty gritty can be explained to the winning bidder during the development of the auction.
The programming needs to be done in .NET or PHP.
