My vendor has let me down...haven't heard from him in 5 days.
I'm realizing that some vendors without ratings need to prove a little more than just blank promises. So, I hope the other vendors I spoke to before are willing to to look at this again.
Anyway, the job is to grab content based off a specific keyword like "baseball" off of wikipedia -- since they like the distribution of their information into another mediawiki site. So, the tool needs to:
1) search for all the entries based on a keyword
2) open up each article in wikipedia
3) go to my wiki, do a search for the term (which most likely will not be there)
4) open up the editing page by having the tool activating the "create the link" space & pasting the contents & saving it
I'd prefer someone who knows what Wikipedia is and how mediawiki works. You may need to just have the contents fed into my MySQL database -- might be easier, but if you can activate links on a page & have the contents pasted, that's fine too as long as it saves the articles.
The one caveat is that if the article already exists in my mediawiki, it will stop & move on.
Make sense? I'm going to place this in the $100 - $300 category of work, but I would prefer to pay no more than $100 and preferably less, but we'll see what sort of offers I get.

Hello, I've already created some automated web crawlers using Perl and www::mechanize module which could be modified for this purporse. Thanks & Regards, Lubos.
