I would like a script that would automate the process of formatting individual emails, based on an HTML template from data captured via a website.
This is what happens at the moment:
1. Details come in in this format on email:
Ref: (here is the reference for this message, for example: )
First name: xxxxx
Last Name: xxxx
Email address: xxxxxx
Info: (about a paragraph or two goes here).
All this is text fields.
Here is what we do next:
1. We copy and paste each first and last name in an Excel spreadsheet and we copy and paste the email address so that we have a record of this.
2. Then we go to an online HTML mass mailer and we copy and paste the email address in that database. We then copy and paste the information from the info field into the body of the HTML template
3. We mail it off.
If there is some way to automate the process so that the data from the email can go directly from the website to an HTML template it would be fabulous.
We will also need a record of each email so that the script will have to keep a record of Last Name, First Name and email address.
Each message we receive (and we need to send out is unique) so although the HTML template is the same the body text that goes into it is unique.
