Attached you will find a copy of a script to download Yahoo Groups attachments.
From the README:
**WARNING: Perl version > 5.6.0 are unicode aware and can cause problems handling binary data. Binary data includes all zip files and image files downloaded using this script. Please read perldoc perlunicode for more details. In RedHat 8.0 and RedHat 9.0 I have circumvented the roblem by setting the environment variable LANG to en_US. Setting this system wide might not be acceptable therefore I would recommend running the script as**
**env LANG=en_US [url removed, login to view]
** However, I am using ActivePerl on Win2k and do not know how to set this variable (it is a big problem - attachments are not viewable)
Can somebody please explain to me how to get this to work either by modifying the code or telling me how to do it from the command line? Or how to run it from a web server?
Thanks in advance.
