We currently have hundreds of .xls files that each have multiple sheets and we currently have to convert each .xls file to .csv to then upload the .csv files into our MYSQL Database. We had a coder try to do a program in VB 6 that automatically converted the .xls files into .csv files so we can read the input file line by line for our php code to work and we can get all the columns and rows properly allocated into our MYSQL DB. The coder could not finish his VB6 solution before leaving on vacation. We either need someone to fix a bug in his VB6 converter. Or come up with a better solution to automate the process. We will also provide you with the PHP script that uploades the .csv files. FURTHER UPDATE on the VB 6 Solution: Hi Marko, I'm getting a run time error 76 - "path not found" after extracting the files into a folder, changing the exe2 to exe, then double clicking the .exe (after adding a simple xls file for testing). Can you help with this? Thanks, Robert Marko Kruljac wrote: sorry sorry, my error. I left the location hard coded when I was testing the app. It's kinda late and I miss such obvious things Hi Marko, Thanks for the update. When I run it now I see the GUI with the xls file I have in the folder, but when I click on the Convert button I get a windows error - RAC - Converter has stopped working. Then it only gives me an option to close the program. No csv file is created. I'm using Windows Vista, does that matter? Regards, Robert
