I need a very simple little exectuable program done (albeit
a little hard to explain)...
I want to be able to download this application and open
it up whenever I need it.
Basically, it's a modified "find" fuction script...
The screen/window, when I open up the program
should should two boxes or "tables", one on
the left, and one on the right, and a "submit" or "start"
button below these two boxes. These boxes should
be scroll enabled both up and down and left to
right. Basically just like something you'd set up in
Frontpage, or any HTML editor very easily.
Now, in the LEFT box (box A), I want to enter a bunch
of random text.
In the right box (box B), I want to enter text as well (but
different text than box A).
(A great deal of text in both boxes, probably up to 5,000 words
or more in each box.)
And what I want this script to do is FIND all the
individual *words* and *names* that appear
in box B, that do NOT appear in box A, and
highlight these words in box B.
So for example, let's say box B contains
the words "FISH" "BALL" "TIRE" (and a bunch
of other words).
The script searches box A, for each and every
word that box B contains. So let's say
box B contains the words FISH, BALL, and TIRE,
and the script has finished searching box A
for these words but does not find them. These
"unfound" words would be highlighted (with
background color) in box B. So I'd be able to
scroll through box B, see these highlighted individual
words, and know that they do not appear in box A.
So you'd enter a bunch of text in both boxes.
The script would search/recognize *individual* words
in both boxes.
The script would start out with the first word
that appears in box B, and search box A contents
for that word. If that word does not show up in
box A, then the word would be highlighted in
box B. And on to the next word in box B. And
So when the script finishes the task after having
search box A for all the words contained in box
B, you end up with highlighted words in box B,
with the highlighted words being all those that
did NOT appear in Box A.
It should be a pretty simple script to do, it's just
basically finding words that appear in one box, but
don't appear in the other, and highlighting them.
I would need this preferrably within the next couple
