This is a very small beginner project (for some) including asp to insert values into an Access db for my work that I started but unable to finish. Currently, I made a form with only two radio buttons and one text area for a user to enter by simply checking those radios ragarding the questions and fill out any comments in the text area. The form is setup to forward these values into an asp page which inserts these values into an Access db. The asp page then redirects the end-user into either saying ([url removed, login to view]) confirmed or error. Everything up to here is working beautifully especially since this is my first work. Here's where the current problem is, I want the initial page or the asp page or another added page in any form to take those values, format them, and also email to me. I have a folder in the 'wwwroot' folder on one of the servers here. The IIS on that machine does not appear to have smtp or any kind of CDO or CDONTS components installed. I have not checked about the .net framework I'm assuming not. I heard from someone that this can be done in perl possibly since smtp and everything can be designed in it. I am ok with any kind (asp, perlcgi, or anything else) as long as nothing needs to be defined on IIS since I don't have access to it. I am not familiar with perl and still a beginner with asp so please be descriptive. Thanks for taking time to read this. Let me know if any or all of this is confusing. Currently using the following files [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] (used Access 2000)
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 3) This project might also be very simply for some. I'll accept any suggestions to make this work in its current form or any other better way. This will be highly appreciated.
IIS on NT4 or either NT5(2000).
