I want a link popularity script with a difference. I want to be able to enter a list of keyphrases, and for each of those key phrases I want the script to check each of the top 10/20/whatever google results link popularity. In addition I want it to visit each of the inward pointing links and find out what text is used to link to the site, collate the results, and present them for each site in a table. So it would work like this: User enters keyphrase, number of results returned from google to check, and number of inbound links for ranking sites to check. Script queries google to find results for keyphrase. Script then determines link popularity of first site in results list, then systematically visits each inbound link to the ranking site (up to the number of inbound links determined by user) and records the phrase used in the link to the ranking site. Script then moves on to second ranking site from google and so on. When that keyphrase is finished the script moves on to the next keyphrase in the list. Finally the script presents the results to the user in a table for each keyphrase and ranking site. Link popularity will have to be determined from sources other than google as google doctors the results from link queries depending upon pagerank. Altavista seems to return a high number of link results so would seem sensible to query for this aspect. An option to discuss is to include Google Pagerank values in the list (I don't know how easy this would be to implement) and/or Alexa rank. I am not concerned with presentation i.e. it can be mainly text based -- but the results must be clear and easy to follow. Exporting results in CSV would work well.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased, unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site).
I am open to suggestions on the format the script is presented in (PHP, CGI, Java, Windows executable etc.) although I do not want it to be in ASP as this restricts where I can run it from.
