We need a simple patch written in C for ProFptd (no other ftp server needed) that will modify the behaviour in the following manner.
If a file with a .tmp extension is transfered (like [login to view URL]) once the file is fully transfered will rename the file into [login to view URL] (if [login to view URL] already exists will overwrite it as well).
Example, if server 1 will connect using FTP to server 2, and server 1 will transfer (put) a file like [login to view URL] then server 2, after complete transfer (from server 1) will rename (and overwrite if necessary) the file taking .tmp extension out.
We do not need to configure a list of extensions. Only .tmp extension is required and can be hardcoded in the modifications (patch) to source code.
Also, the modifications need to be as light as possible.
(This module is a very small part from a much bigger picture)
## Deliverables
1) We need the source code written in the simplest manner as possible.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Redhat Linux.
Proftpd installed from compiled source files.
