I am building an ecommerce website that will be hosted by 3dcart. I am not using one of their templates. Instead, I have a picture that will be my home page that will lead to other pages. On each page, there will be a picture of a room. I want people to be able to click on certain items in the picture of the room to purchase.
For example, it may be a picture of a kitchen. By scrolling over the stove, it would allow you to view information about the stove, and then place that item in your shopping cart.
I would also have 5 buttons in all (I think): 2 product buttons, home, my account, about us, and contact
I would then want the programmer to integrate the site into 3dcart ([url removed, login to view]). I have spoken with someone in the tech department there, and they say this should be simple for a programmer.
I have a jpeg of a scene that will be the homepage. On the picture, are the buttons (but again, you would have to make them work since it's only a picture) placed where I would like them. You would obviously have to cut the picture into pieces in order to make it into an html.
Once you click on the buttons, you will then be led to these pages:
Items in cart
The only pages that will lead somewhere else is the "Boys Rooms" button, the "Girls Rooms" button, and the "items in cart" button. Both the boys room button and the girls room button will lead to (in the beginning) 2 pages. On those pages, there will be a picture of a room, and as you scroll over certain items, they will enlarge and tell you the info about them. You will be able to click on that item and place it in the shopping cart.
After the site is designed, I would like the programmer to fully integrate the site into 3dcart to make a fully functioning site.
I am attaching the picture that I would like to use as the homepage.
