I need an embedded system that can receive 20 preconfigured voice commands and send a corresponding command to a serial port for each one of the commands.
For example "alpha on" would send 111000 00001111 to the serial port.
"alpha off" would send 111111 0000000 to the serial port.
(Or something like that)
I'm envisioning a board that only has a microphone and a serial port, and that the board would be programmed through the serial port. The target price per board is about $100, but I'm really open to implementation suggestions.
Originally, we looked at windows ce, but the overhead seemed too high.
Again, really open to suggestions and ideas.
