We need to develop a small application for iPhone 3G that would run in the background, every minute query the iPhone for the GPS coordinates (and *if possible* current cell tower specific information, such as tower id) and send an HTTP GET request with this information to the existing CGI script (you do not need to write this script) via a URL that will be provided by us, i.e. [url removed, login to view]
Server cgi script will respond with <idle>1</idle> or <buzz>1</buzz> page.
If the response is <idle>1</idle> the iPhone application does nothing and idles for 1 minute and then repeats the request with the current cell tower info.
If the response is <buzz>1</buzz> the iPhone application should play a sound and vibrate, then idle for 1 minute, and repeat the request with new cell tower info.
**This is the initial stage of the much bigger project to follow.
We will be testing the application on the actual iPhone.
