I require a MySQL database currently containing products, categories and a product/category pivot, to be linked to a html website. The data from the database needs to be pushed to pages on the website.? The correct fields (images/text/links) should then be displayed on the homepage, category pages and product pages. ? The idea being that? new products can be added into the database as required and the site is updated.
The code to create this? functionality? needs to be implemented into the various html pages. The site doesn't need to be designed, but the functionality needs to be put into the html pages, so adding and tweaking the current code is required (and possibly more pages created). The site does not require any shopping cart functionality, it's merely a site for displaying products and linking to them externally.
The desired result is a functioning product driven website, where product information (images/text/links) can be added to the database and then correctly filtered to the website. Changes will need to be made on the html code currently in place to allow this to happen.
I would like a user to be able to go onto the site, select a desired category, then see the products within that category. From that category they should be able to click on a product and see more information on it. Finally resulting in them clicking on a product link to buy externally. The user should also be able to click directly to some products from the homepage, from images that are contained in a table. The product page would then display once a user has clicked on the image. All these homepage images would again come from the database.? I require a Coder who can create this functionality for me, which would then allow me to amend and update my website from the MySQL database.
The Coder should be able to advise on the best way of creating this functionality and creating extra html pages as required to enable categories and product pages to show correctly. The desired result is a website that allows me to add hundreds of products to the database and for these to? seamlessly? show in the correct? categories? and as individual product pages on the website. The MySQL database currently has product information in it (around 30 products), with the various field information filled in. Categories are also defined in the database.
