Our company needs some modification to an existing shopping cart, or a new shopping cart to meet our needs.
We started with ZenCart, which seems pretty flexible, but we need it streamlined- with multi-level attributes.? Here's what we are trying to accomplish:
We have about 50-60? "services" that have pretty exclusive features in that we only want to sell one "service" to? one person/company in each county in the U.S.? Once that? service is sold, the county needs to be flagged as "Sold Out" or unavailable.? To make things a bit more complicated, each? service will have a different "base" price (some having the same "base" price as others, however), and when the customer makes his/her final selection, there will be a choice between a "Basic" and a "Premium" service.
There is much more to this project than can be stated here, so interested persons should contact me.
If ZenCart, as the base,? cannot be modified to meet our needs, or there is something out there that will meet our needs better than ZenCart, we are open to suggestions.
The shopping cart will eventually need to be integrated with another database program our tech is currently creating.? Attached is a brief outline of what we are trying to accomplish.

Information regarding other pieces….
Record/Contact Management: The supplier for this is yet to be determined. I refer to this piece as our data warehouse. This is also a web service model. Does our programmer have a recommendation?
Accounting: We currently use QuickBooks, but we are looking at some data warehouse programs that have contact management and accounting as part of the package. Again, is there a recommendation?
Client Reporting: We will be downloading information from Google and ReachLocal in an excel spreadsheet to our data warehouse regarding the activity of each client. The data will be scrubbed and communicated (reported) to our clients on a scheduled basis.
Scheduled Communication: See client reporting above.
Pricing Model Information:
We have added a twist to our pricing that will require additional tables and another level of decision making. I will layout the steps/decisions required in placing/pricing an order.
Step 1 Decide/Select the Business Type. (Need Table of Business Types with a multiplier for each business type)
Step 2 Decide/Select an Exclusive Territory. Pricing is by County, Metro Area, State or National Campaigns. I want to automate pricing for the County and Metro Areas by Business Type. If the prospect selects a state or national campaign they need to me directed to talk with/e-mail a representative.
Choose County Pricing or Metro Pricing (Need table of counties and metro areas with base prices for each)
Need ability to choose multiple counties or multiple metro areas.
Step 3 The system calculates the price by looking at the base price for the territory selected and multiplying it by the Business Type Multiplier.
Step 4 The customer chooses either basic or premium service. If the client elects premium service then the base price will be times a single system wide (administrator controlled and not hard coded) multiplier (say 1.6, for example) to calculate the premium price.
