Simple CMS and Gallery

I require a CMS to maintain two sections of a simple site. Server is linux. Pages are HTML, but saved with .php extensions. Site is built and is live at [url removed, login to view]

The two sections that require CMS updating are:

1. Fairs: [url removed, login to view]

2. Gallery: [url removed, login to view]

In-depth specification below.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: Site is on server A (Apache/2.2.3 (Debian) PHP/5.2.0-8) but the database will be on server B. Database will be on server B (I control the server/control panel where server B is).

On server A (where the site is), I have access via FTP, but I have no control panel access to that site (client has lost the information). I don't think that will cause a problem.

The reason for the above is? I need this work done before December 21st, and it would be difficult to move the domain of the client to server B in that time (I'll move it in the new year)).

## Deliverables

I require a CMS to maintain two sections of a simple site. Server is linux. Pages are HTML, but saved with .php extensions. Site is built and is live at [url removed, login to view]

The two sections that require CMS updating are:

1. Fairs: [url removed, login to view]

2. Gallery: [url removed, login to view]

Please note, that this is a three-language website, so each of the above two sections need to be updateable in three languages.

Note, this is NOT a translation job. I speak the three languages required for this site, so I have all translation skills required.

Also note, CMS will be created by you and me in English, but on completion we'll change all English language text in the CMS (not the site) to the Catalan language, so that the admin (who does not speaking English) can understand the CMS. (Example, we'll change "Submit" buttons, and "Logout" text etc etc etc to another language) (This is a five minute job, I'll make it easy for you). Note though that error messages etc will have to be in this other language too (not English). Again, I'll provide this (just keep a list of your error messages).

The gallery is the most demanding part of this project.

Here is a breakdown of requirements for the two sections:

1. FAIRS (remember, in three languages) ([url removed, login to view])

a) Admin should be able to add new fairs to the site. Fairs that have reached their end-date should stay on the site for 30 days after the completion of the fair, and then they should disappear from the front-end. They should still remain in the CMS however, so that next year the admin can edit it, and change the dates.?

b) There should be a title, which doubles as a way to add a URL to an external site. A URL is not mandatory. If there is a URL, the link opens as a target blank. (The URL will be the same for each of three languages, so only one language URL field required).

c) There is a start date and end date for the fair. (we're using numbers here as you can see at [url removed, login to view] so we don't need to worry about languages)

d) There should be a description field.

e) There should be four image upload slots, accepting jpg and gif. Image is 200px by 150px. What's the easiest/best solution you can provide to me that allows admin to upload a jpg or gif and it gets automatically resized and optimised. I'm looking for something painless for you, and for client. If the best solution is to teach them how to use Photoshop, then we'll go that way.

f) The layout of the page [url removed, login to view] should be that the first upcoming fair should be at the top.

g) The first three lines (paragraphs) at the top of the page [url removed, login to view] will remain in place regardless of whether there are any fairs displayed on this page, or not.

h) In CMS there should be add/edit/delete functions for adding new fairs, editing existing fairs (or past fairs) and delete fairs, if so required.

2. GALLERY ([url removed, login to view])

a) Admin should be able to add new sets to the gallery page.

b) There should be a set title (remember, three languages). An example of one set is "CAVATAST - SANT SADURN? ANOIA" (the titles don't need to be in uppercase letters).

c) There should be a description for each set (but not for each photo)(again, remember, three languages)

d) There should be a limit of 10 images per set.

e) In CMS there should be add/edit/delete functions for adding new sets, editing existing sets and delete sets, if so required.

f) Image uploads should accept jpg and gif. Image is 580px wide by whatever height the admin requires (only the width should be limited). What's the easiest/best solution you can provide to me that allows admin to upload a jpg or gif and it gets automatically resized and optimised. I'm looking for something painless for you, and for client. If the best solution is to teach them how to use Photoshop, then we'll go that way.

g) The most recently added set is the set that should appear at the top of the list.

h) If there are five (for example) image uploads for a set, there should be numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 listed, as per my example on [url removed, login to view] - clicking on each number displays a different image.

i) I don't want a different html/php page for each image in the gallery (the way it's built currently ([url removed, login to view]) it looks like I want one page per image (but I don't)), I want some kind of javascript effect (or similar) which allows the image to load on-page without a full page reload (or something similar that you can suggest).

That's it!
