We need to take a WordPress theme and turn it into a multilingual theme.
The theme should be able to run with our WordPress multilingual plugin:

A multilingual theme requires these steps:
1. Wrap strings in gettext calls.
2. Use plugin functions to convert hard coded links to language-dependent links.
3. Identify places where hard coded IDs are used and fix them to be dynamic.
4. Include different types of language switchers.
To do this work you must be an experienced PHP programmer with background in WordPress themes, gettext and multilingual sites.
This is a pilot project. If it goes well, we'll have many more themes to work on.
## Deliverables
We will provide the theme to be localized. Then, before you begin the work, you will need to document what needs to be changed and explain how you plan to address it.
At this stage, we must see how everything is addressed and verify that everything will be turned multilingual.
Only after you produce this documentation, you can begin coding.
You will need to show the theme running on your own server.
WordPress version is 2.8.0.
Some themes require plugins to be installed. If the theme depends on plugins, you will need to install them in order for everything to work correctly.
You will also need to generate test contents. Contents can be anything, including the famous Lorem Ipsum text.
