Tweet from Perl

I wish to "tweet" from within a Perl script. This will be a simple status message update and ideally allow me to post the location of this with a provided lat/lng.

The script will always post to the same Twitter account. I used to do this with username/password authentication but now I am told it has to be OAUTH and I do not know how to make this work.

I will need instructions on how to configure my Twitter account to support this authentication method and the Perl script to "tweet".

## Deliverables

I have tried the script below with no success - it might be a fault in the setup of my Twitter account - assistance appreciated:

use Net::Twitter::Lite;

use URI::Escape;

$message="Test message";

my $nt = Net::Twitter::Lite->new(

consumer_key => $consumer_key,

consumer_secret => $consumer_secret,

access_token => $access_key,

access_secret => $access_secret,

my $result = eval { $nt->update($message) };

print "Tweet: $result\n";

You will be welcome to test against my test twitter account with the associated keys and secrets of course.
