I have a wordpress blog where each static page is a UK Airport and only the "destination" links specific to the airport should be displayed in the sidebar. These links in turn need to be separately displayed as UK destinations and "European destinations"
Therefore I need a wordpress plugin that will enable a user to select multiple links within the "static Page" editor in wordpress admin, so each "static page" could contain different combinations of links.
The links would then be listed through a PHP template tag eg. "wp_list_bookmarks" so they could be added to a sidebar on the wordpress blog.
The template tag would pull the relevant links from each static page as it was displayed in a browser, but would also be able to filter the links by category. So the pages' links could be separated into each category.
Each link already has a category assigned to it and can be called by:
<?php wp_list_bookmarks('category=2'); ?>
Each link is contained in wordpress links manager and already has its own link_ID and can be called as follows:
<?php wp_list_bookmarks('include=2,33,44'); ?>
I need someone to code a plugin that will:
? - Add the ability to select multiple links from the wordpress link manager within the "static page" editor somewhere under or to the right of the "Advanced Options" box.
? - A php function that calls the selected links and filters them by category before listing them.
The plugin needs to be user friendly and be consistent with most usual plugins - in that all resulting code needs to be uploadable to the /plugins folder and is able to be activated/deactivated. The only code outside of this will be the php template tag to call the list within the template.
