I am administrator of a fansite where I use 4images to provide media files to users, and is bridged with phpBB. Please read everything carefully.
For practical reasons I need a mod that does what is described below:
I need to have the [url removed, login to view] script (and maybe other files to have it being able to do what is described) to be modified so it will redirect the downloads to different locations depending on user level AND country they come from (IP check).
- If users are registered and logged in, I want them to be directed to the URL of the file WITHIN the server (it is not within the 4images directory, mind) and have the download start automatically.
- If users are NOT registered and are from US or Canada, I want them to be redirected to Offsite 1, the download must not start but the page must show up.
- If users are NOT registered and NOT from US or Canada, I want them to be redirected to Offsite 2, again, the download must not start but the page must show up.
The Offsite Locations are of course all different and if there was the case when there isn't an entry for Offsite 1, they must be redirected to Offsite 2
If you are familiar with 4images I believe this could be handled with permissions and adding a "mirrors" option (mirror locations would have to be set within the control panel), therefore a MySQL modification would be necessary.
I think it would be somewhat simple, check for cookie and then redirect to server or if there isn't a cookie redirect them to one of those two mirrors depending on the visitor's IP.
We are on a dedicated server (if that is of any use to know) I can provide the website address via PM.
High preference to bidders who are available via MSN or YIM.
We need the scripts working by Monday 29th MAXIMUM. The budget isn't too high. $40 maximum, I'm afraid, but if we are satisfied there will be future projects with hopefully higher budgets.
Payment via GAF Escrow or Paypal, as you prefer. Positive feedback will be left if you do your work well.
Please, do not bid if you are not profficient in PHP and MySQL manipulation or are not (or can become) familiar with the 4images script when bridged to phpBB.
There are two separate 4images installations (within the same server and integrated with the same forum) that would need the script working in them (they're for different files).
Thank you, if you have any questions, please send me a private message.
