We currently have a database which stores all of our product titles. There is a script we have that converts the data into a format used by our shipping company. The data fields are separated by these characters "|".
We want someone to be able to set up the email services on our server so whenever an order is placed by a customer online, the email online transaction receipt is sent to that script which will convert the data into a format our shipping company will use. It will use the existing database information to convert the data.
Our server is Red Hat Linux OS with MySQL services installed and configured.
The database is a flat file database with only letters and numbers. This should be a very easy job for someone who knows mail configurations.
Also, the hosting company we use does not provide root access to our server for security reasons so therefore you would be communicating with them via email (or phone) to get this configured.
