I have a custom web search application which is more or less a search engine, which allows users to enter a query, then on the backend have it search Google, Yahoo and Bing. It retrieves data and displays it in HTML format, with an option to export the data into an Excel .csv file.
I would like to set up adwords/adsense so that when people use the application(s) the page generates ad links. This way, I can be paid via advertising revenue instead of charging users to keep the site up.
The apps are written in Perl / html / php and run on a server (linux / apache). The data retrieved is also stored in a MySQL database which users can also search, but for now, just want to make advertising links appear on the same page as the search results.
I am simply looking for someone who knows enough about setting up this sort of thing to help me set it up!
Ideally, this person or persons would also know perl scripting, because the scripts need a bit of repair and optimisation; but the important thing is to get the ads going.
