Hi iconcs
My name is Roger Fedyk. I live in Melbourne. If you look at my profile you will see that I am a highly experienced software developer, over 20 years. I am an expert in PDF programming. I am also a recording engineer and a music composer and arranger.
I have to tell you that what you ask for is not actually simple at all. While you can add music to a PDF slide show, synchronisation between music and notes is not part of the PDF standard. In may respects what you are asking for is what is done with the Karaoke format.
If you look at the youtube segment for The Solfege Song what you see and hear is paged text and a background mp3. The only triggering event is the one that turns the page. You don't see any "follow the bouncing ball" event where a do, re or mi is highlighted following the song which is what you really need if you are teaching. In fact all Joe Busolits has done is create some publicity for himself. As a teaching tool it is useless.
Something like it has already been famously done by Rogers and Hammerstein and sung by Julie Andrews in the musical "The Sound of Music". Maria is teaching the Von Trapp children to sing using the solfege method. The song is called Do Re Mi.
If you want to discuss this under no obligation get back in touch. Ignore my bid. You have to put in an amount just to send a message.

Roger
