I would need a macro to perform the below mentioned tasks. I`ve attached a few samples along with a macro which almost have everything. Yet, I want a new macro which is error free and robust with any extensive data. Also, let me have ur suggestion in making it any better and in a way of making it more dynamic. I need both the macros to copy data of only the select region or rows of data
In need a macro that pulls data of one row per slide. That is, it need to populate an existing slide which would be having content in it. Sayiing so, it need to populate data into tags that are even between sentences. Coz, when i was trying it with a document having some text and the tags in between sentence, e.g., like the attached ppt document named "Sample [url removed, login to view]", wherein when i tried the macro it fills only those which has the tags in individual text box, but not those in between sentence. If you try using the macro on the attached sample 1, you would see that tags "Column A and Column E" doesn't fill content from excel. Could u pls have this fixed. Also, they should be having the format/text property as per the tag, e.g., if u see the tag <Column E> and <Coloumn A> would be having unique text properties in individual slides (i.e, bold text, different color, font size and font type, than the other text in that same text box. Also if u see in the subsequent slides, it is with different text property, so the macro should adopt per the tag's text property in the individual slide.
My requirement for the new version of the macro, that need to pull multiple rows of data from excel to PPT in continuous string, the macro should have a defined limit until which it has to populate data, once it is reached it has to go to next slide. Saying so, there is no defined number of rows it has to fit in a slide, rather until the defined limit in the slide that it can fit. Also, it need to have a defined space between each row and also a line separator with defined properties (i.e., with a defined thickness/color/style) However the last row in a slide need not have those line separator. Please have a look at sample [url removed, login to view] for a sample of how it is getting filled rit now from sample [url removed, login to view], however please check the version Correct Sample [url removed, login to view] which shows how it should actually come. Also, wud it be possible for a popup to appear when we click on Copy to Powerpoint ?, wherein we could determine the properties such as, Content Limit (as to which the text need to be in a slide, such that it doesnt go out of the slide area), Space between each Row, and Line separator Style (with parameters for thickness, color, style). Upon having these filled, it should get updated in the code and run the macro per the defined settings.
The macro should pick what charater/tex/value is exactly visible in the cell, irrespective of whether it is a error or not. When populating some values from excel, it is not taking what is visible in the cell, rather it seem to pick the raw data/formula behind the cell, For e.g., pls open the file named "data [url removed, login to view]" and see the data under columns F and G, try to populate them usng macro. You would see that it takes the raw data behind the cell (that is the value for F1 wud be taken as 21.4596360429694% and the value for G1 wud be taken as 118169). So, actually i would need it to copy as 21% and 118,169 (with comma separator as visible in the excel cell)
I would want these macros to be merged into a single excel worksheet. Such that they can have 2 buttons one for each task, or if u have any other convenient way of using it, i`m fine with it.
I would need to populate data from Excel to Graphs, but i dont want them to be in MS Graphs, but in thinkcell. I tink u cud get more details on designing it from this link --> [url removed, login to view] Coz, i only use thinkcell and it is what is being used my most of the the people whom i interact with
