I need a simple script that will do the following: 1. a git clone in a specified directory that has a git repo. 2. if code is updated, it will execute a build (based on a defined build parameter) 3. if build is successful, run a set script. 4. if script is successful, copy the executable to a set directory 5. if a copy is successful run a set command Basically, the following parameters or configuration lines would need to be used: 1. directory for locally checked out git repo 2. command to do the build (and directory to do the build in) 3. name of binary to copy 4. command to execute after build 5. destination directory 6. command to execute upon completion

I have vast (10 year+) experience in Unix/embedded programming/scripting with both (ba)sh or python. I have been a long term developer on an NVR product doing mostly unix systems programming, as well as spent 3 years on the Google ChromeOS team as build/systems engineer doing a lot of automation work in Python. I sometimes touch kernel or system library code as well, if needed. A similar kind of automation was my primary job for quite a while and I still practice it in my job whenever I can. Here's some queries which can influence the eventual price (i will adjust the bid accordingly): - Your project does not specify the preferred method. Would the script be a shell script, python script, or similar? - What kind of build system does your project use, and why is it not possible to simply do this inside the Makefiles? - How much do you expect the result to be flexible? Eg. would you like to extend the project to produce a list of binaries as opposed to a single binary in the future? Feel free to get back to me to briefly chat about the project.
