We currently have a functioning Joomla website that runs the SOBI2 extension to list products on our website. We want someone to program a Mobile-optimized website that pulls data from the SOBI2 database and displays our products in a way that looks good on all phones. This way, if we update any data on our main site in SOBI2, it will update on the mobile site. If we add a new product/entry in SOBI2, it should also be available on the mobile site. The mobile site will be hosted under a sub-directory in the hosting account of the current site so it will have local access to the SOBI2 database. We also want a couple of new features added in to the mobile site. The requirement are:
1. Make the mobile site appear properly on: iPhone, Adroid-based phone, Blackberry, iPad, and other mobile phones. For iPhone, Android, Blackberry, and iPad, the site must appear as if it were programmed specifically for the device it is being viewed on so that it looks optimized. We don't want a "one size fits all" mobile template that appears the same on all devices. For "other mobile phones" a generic template can appear.
2. Make sure the SOBI2 Gallery (used to show images on SOBI2 product/entry pages) appears properly on the pages as well so that people can click the images to view the larger size on their phones.
3. At the top of each product/entry page, there must be a form field that allows people to enter their e-mail address and have an email sent to the address they enter; the email must contain a URL for the product's page on our main website, contact information for our company and a thank you message, and a PDF attachment (we will provide the PDFs for each page).
4. We will be setting up QR codes to allow people to access pages directly, so the mobile site URL must be as short as possible so people can bookmark it. For instance: [[url removed, login to view]]
