The concept of this project is pretty simple. I'm trying to find out how many tickets are left to small venue general admission concerts. Ticketing websites always have a limit to how many tickets you can put in a single shopping cart. The script needs to fill a shopping cart to the max and open the equivalent of a new session to fill a new shopping cart and so on until there are no tickets left available to be carted or a pre-determined max number of tickets has been reached. The script would then return the result…either the number of tickets left or that the max number was reached.
I currently have three unreliable scripts (one for each of 3 ticketing websites) to perform this task. Whoever wins the project can either work with those scripts and get them working or start from scratch. The scripts I have now were written using php and curl. Those scripts require that I enter a url for a specific concert and click a button to run the script. I need to get the scripts functioning for the three websites I already use the script on, as well as two additional ticketing websites. I'd also need you to get all the scripts up and running on 5 different web hosts. The original script was done in less than 4 hours and the other scripts took less time than that since the basis of the script was the same for the other sites. So, I think the whole project shouldn't take more than 15-20 hours. Ideally I'd want to work with someone I could come back to to troubleshoot future issues and update scripts as technology changes. Thanks for your interest in this project.
