I'm converting my board game to a multiplayer internet software version and developing other games as well. I have a design but I also want to expand to as many plaforms as possible so input on that issue is the most important part of choosing a coder for this project. The game is not dependent on graphics, objects or levels and I already have some content in two databases (mySQL/Access). My host where the game website is offers PHP/mySQL support and I would like to stay with that if possible.
I won't be charging anything to play the game at first, as I'm hoping to drive some interest for the board game to sell out the remaining 4,000 of it's first run of 5,000, while debugging the online version to sell. I receive 50% of the board game profits (approx. $60K net) which I intend to spend on perfecting the online version and creating additional versions as well as other games.
What I'm looking for is somebody who has games/ideas and in addition to twelve monthly installments of an agreed price, would like some exposure and also, depending on the level of involvement and what the market value of this software is, an additional share in profits from sales of online memberships to play online games or a lump sum final payment. I don't know the expected value because I won't be charging anything for its use for a year, however, I'm expecting it to create a spike in board game sales from which you would receive initial payments.
These are just the basics that I can squeeze into 2,000 characters. If you want a flat fee and no royalties, I'm willing to pay the industry standard but it could not be a lump sum. If I missed something you feel is important I definitely want to discuss it per your Seller Legal Agreement. I just want part of something, not all of nothing.
