Hello Coder; I have a red hat (RH) 9 intel box. I need someone to log in ( I can give you root access) , get Postfix mail server running ( your choice whether to use source or binaries. You MUST please keep a detailed log of how you install it, because after you are done I'm going to wipe and reinstall the stock red hat system, and you will need to walk me through redoing your install step by step. We can also do do as many intermediary RH reinstalls as you want , if the install goes weird and you can't really document how you got where you are. Unless you are realay experinced at this, this will probably be the case. Testing stage 1 1) It receives and sends mail for a domain I will assign. 2) You need to create 3 working users with PW for the account 3) You need to create 2 mailing lists for the account ( like "managers at the [url removed, login to view]" and all the members of managers group get it. 4) I will test sending and receiving of these users and groups When you get this far, and you are sure you have a foolproof install sequence DOCUMENTED ( everyone thinks they can memorize it, that would probably be a mistake) Testing stage 2 1) I will do a clean reinstall of the SAME RH 9 on the SAME machine. 2) You will send me an email with your detailed step by step install method 3) We will arrange a time for you to walk me through the install process following your list, while using a messaging app such as Microsoft messenger. The end result will be an absolutely clear , very detailed installation procedure that someone could follow without any other help. I am easy to work for, but this project needs a person who has sucessfully installed at least a few mailservers before. It is a LOT harder than I thought, and you will not be able to just improvise this as you go. Thanks
1) Complete list of instruction that work when followed on the clean redhat install 2) Working mail server 3) All on my machine, no external servers.
