We have a very powerful dedicated server and MySQL has been tuned for even the most demanding use of database resources.
Our traffic is not near what it is going to be in the future as our site is new and should not be experiencing such issues.
It seems as if the programmer who developed our code made poor decisions when writing the queries. I have been told by some that the database connections are not being closed and therefore building up, others say the queries are looping.
Anyway our server loads up and then our site becomes unreachable, we only have to restart MYSQL and then everything is normal again.
We are logging "slow-queries" that take longer than 3. Everything is MyIsam.
It seems the database has plenty of indexes... but there is obvious something wrong with the way a past coder has written the code.
PHPXX will need to be placed in all messages otherwise we will not even consider your bid. There are too many automated posts that seem more like advertisments than offers of help. If you want to be considered do NOT forget to place what we posted above in your messages.
This should be an easy fix for a skilled PHP coder familiar with MySQL.
Note: We are not looking for a wanna be... MySQL/PHP Guru! You must be sharp and be able to write exceptional PHP MySQL queries. We are not looking for someone to come in and TUNE our MySQL config file. If you don't have the ability to make a difference for sure, then don't bid.
