I have a cable modem connected to san.rr.com.
I bought a wireless router that I haven't been able to make work.
BECAUSE, the setup instructions and what I have been able to discern on the internet only address connecting the wireless router DIRECTLY to the modem, which I don't want to do.
My home is wired for ethernet which I still want to use and I want to connect the wireless router to one of the internet ports.
With the wireless router properly installed I want remotely connect to the internet from both of my laptop computers.
I have messed around with the configuration to no success.
I want a consultant to help me successfully make it work.
Written instructions and telephone conversations to successfully configure a wireless router to an ethernet port serviced by a standard router connected to a cable modem.
1) Recommendations, if any, for replacement hardware to my current wireless router, and for additional hardware or software to enhance the service.
2) Written instructions and diagrams for successfully connecting my wireless router (or, recommended alternative) to an ethernet port serviced by a standard router connected to a cable modem.
3) Telephone conversations (at my expense) to lead me through a successful configuration.
4) Follow-up telephone conversation (at my expense) to verify everything is working properly after the configration has "baked" and been successfully used for a couple of days.
Project is complete and payment made with a successful configuration meeting the requirement.
