Create a Visio data model diagram and a Microsoft Word table and field list for a 66 table database design. We will provide you SQL DDL that creates the database structure correctly on DB/2, including primary and foreign key constraints.
This is a rush job to meet a procedural requirement for installing an application. We are not looking for anything very fancy or elegant.
We did try having Visio directly create the diagram by connecting to DB/2 to reverse engineer the tables. It was not successful. We suspect it was either that their was something in the database that visio didn't like (that database had many more than just the 66 tables), or because the DB/2 ODBC driver was not sufficiently capable.
One way to generate this would be to use the DDL to create tables in SQL server and reverse engineer -those- with Visio. However, there would likely be some syntax differences in the DDL.
1) 1 or more Visio diagrams depicting the database tables with relationship links.
2) A Microsoft Word document listing the tables in alphabetical order and showing the fields and field types for each table in Microsoft Word table format.
