HTML/ CSS Quick Work

I need a web page design/concept for a football manager browser game. Something clear, "serious", good looking. 1 HTML and 1 CSS file required in this stage.

## Deliverables

I am toying with the idea of creating a browser multiplayer football (soccer) manager game.

(Just what the world needs, another one of those eh? ;)

I'll be perfectly honest, I have not decided anything yet really, not sure I have the time or budget to go through with it all the way since it is a big project. So I can't promise there would be any follow-up work related to this, but it is a possibility.

I am a Delphi coder as you may see in my profile, but web design is not something I am good at. I created one website for internal company use which works fine but won't win any prizes in the look-and-feel department, that's for sure. Anyway, I can code the data/engine part of the site and inject the data into web pages, but I need help with their actual appearance.

At this point I need someone to make me one web page with the following areas (DIVs, I guess):

- left side which will some day contain a multilevel flash menu

- top which will contain the logo, advertisement banner and probably some basic login/logout links (use blank-empty images for logo and banner demonstration), maybe some flash elements

- bottom which will contain some less often used links like settings/help/about etc

- remaining area for actual content

The content area should contain a multi-column table with random data (for example league standings), a single-column data box (for example player information) and another box of non-tabular data (for example a blog-comment sort of thing), for demonstration purpose. Content font should be small since some pages will contain lots of data, but not too small...

The code should be very CSS-reliant, i.e. no tables for formatting and with some clear logic of how the elements are defined/used.

I'll give you some links towards pages that contain elements designed in the way I like, to give you an idea of what my "taste" is:

I like the green part of this one, the green/orange combo of colours and the right-side menu style (LI actually) and the "read more" button

I'd like the page to be as scaleable and flexible as possible.

IE6 compatibility is probably not important since by the time this project is over, most likely noone would use it anymore ;)

Logo/flash and other graphics are not part of this bid, the exception being images used to create "boxes" around DIVs, some simple backgrounds or semi transparent images for effects.

I don't want my site to look too much like any existing similar site, but I don't expect you to visit all of them and make sure, so I need to be able to change things like for example colors (another reason why I need flexible code)

I don't pretend to know what the heck I am talking about, so I am open to suggestions :)
