This is a very strange project that involves the generation of raw data for a project I am doing. A study done back in 2004 that I found on the web used regression models to come up with new equations for skinfold measurements to estimate bodyfat, using DEXA (CT scanning) as a basis. The equations are posted in the study attached, however i contacted the author and he won't give me the raw data measurements from the study, so I need some data generated, to conduct my own regression models. However this may be very difficult because the data will have many restrictions as seen in the attatched document. I need data from 160 males, look at table 2 to see the mean, SD, and range for the raw data to be made up. the data enerated must be very close and not go outside the boundaries from this study. The data must also be generated so that the regression will fit very close to the new equations that were developed in the study. Also use common sense when generating the skin fold for each site, as thigh and abdomen skinfolds will be generally thicker than arm, chest, etc. The data needs to be accurately close to tables 3,4 and 5, figures 1 and 2 may help you in the generation process. What I need is the data organized in an excell file with all the skinfold sites,Bf% using dexa, age, height, weight, body mass index, and waist to hip ratio. However remember that in the final regression only the age and skinfold sites are in the equation so the Sum of Squares regression for the other varibles must be insignificant, but it must also not throw off the data. This may be a very difficult task. I can accept your project after the data in recieved and I run a regression on it to see if it yeilds the new equations in this study. Remember all data generated must meet the specifications in table 2. Email me if you have any questions.
