I have installed a T1 at my home in Mill Valley California in a residential home office. I have a Win2K server running a free mail server called MailEnable. The server is going to be used mainly as a web host but I also want to be able to send and receive email.
I need someone experienced in networks and DNS to set up the server so I can use my email program, and so I can send email from a remote location when I am on the road. Up till now I have been using [url removed, login to view] and its DNS management features but now I want to run everything here in my home office.
I have been told I need to set up a “white list?? and point the name servers at the registrar to my own name servers, but this is all over my little head.
My domain name is percevia.com.
Ideally I would prefer someone in the SF Bay Area to come to my home, but I understand that may not be possible for more on RAC< so I would need to be assured I can trust you with the passwords to my network.
1) working email system, local network access, documentation of set up so I can maintain it.
