To all visual basic 6 devlopers out there..
I write small programs in visual basic 6, however its only very recently come to my attention that there may be a very big big bug with the complie of visual basic activex controls.
Visual basic controls will loads in Mozilla Firefox browser if you use a Plugin Called NPPGWrap and change the html code to something similar to
Now the active X will load no problem.. But heres my problem as soon as you set focus to the any object inside the applet you will simply get this message
The instruction at "0x6608aa52" referenced memeory at "0x00000000". The memeory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program / Click on CANCEL to debug the program.
more discription down the page ...
Now i made sure it wasent my control or my programing .. by making a BLANK usercontrol project and trying it in Mozilla Firefox.. and same thing.
Is there any reason why this is so? Now i assume you will need some site to see the results on..
In Internet Explorer Visit <[url removed, login to view]> you may need to make sure your IE security is on Default (NOT HIGH) and u will need to allow cookies...
You will notice this will all work fine.. But when it comes down to loading it in Mozilla Firefox .. BANG when you make focus of any controls on it, it will crash (even on a blank usercontrol project)
My job i ask you..
Work out a way so the VB Usercontrols can load in mozilla anyway possible i dont care as long as it can load and be used!! If you can create an example complie your code and send me the OCX and a HTML page to load the control and i will test it.
