I need a Visual Basic 6 function that will crop an image. For example, the dimensions of the image I've been using are 640 x 480, and I'd like to be able to take the center part of the image and save it as an 160 x 120 image. I do not need to resize the image, I just need to isolate a window from it. It would be excellent if I could specify with parameters the coordinates of the "window" I would like to crop. Something like: Function CropImage(SourceImage() As Byte, DestinationImage() As Byte, _ X1 As Long, Y1 As Long, _ X2 As Long, Y2 As Long) As Boolean DestinationImage would be the window of SourceImage defined by X1, Y1 and X2, Y2. Call CropImage(SourceImage(), DestinationImage(), 240, 180, 400, 300) The above function call would result in a 160 x 120 window of the original image. The source and destination images would be greyscale 8 bit depth bitmaps.
