I am trying to find a computer program that I can use in Microsoft Excel that will allow me to make my bank statements with entries, deposits, withdrawals, interests, etc. exactly as my credit union does. I have noticed that within the past 6 months or so, that there have been an increasing amount of "unknown" withdrawals and transfers from my account. I have contacted my credit union on numerous occasions to express my concerns. I have been told that I can take my printed statements and manually enter the information into a software program that does bank reconciliations and that if there are any noticeable discrepancies that they will look into the matter. This would be great if they could offer me the data in an electronic format that I could just plug in to Microsoft Excel. If I have to manually key in 5 pages of check numbers, ATM withdrawals, payroll deposits, dates, etc. I know that I'm going to mess it up myself even more. If I can order such a program that will allow me to enter in my transaction exactly the way they're shown on my monthly statements, it will allow me to do both a reconciliation as well as track these mysterious withdrawals that seem to haunt my checking and savings accounts.
