I need a date function that returns the exact date format for the next Thursday Date at 8:00 P.M.
The function should read like this
private function checkdate() as date
The nextthursday would be whatever value it is. For example, if the function was ran today, it would return Jan. 8, 2004 8:00 P.M. as the value. If it was ran on Jan. 9, then it would return Jan. 15, 2004 8:00 P.M.
For now, just use the now function as a starting date. However, I will be checking for other values to make sure it works no matter what day it is. The purpose of this is I have a procedure that has to run only on Thurdays after 8:00 P.M. This will be used with the timer so it only runs that time. It does not matter what format it returns, as long as its in a valid date format including the time. So the system would know when the current time is greater than the value obtained. Must be completed with Visual Basic 6.0. If its past 8:00 P.M. on Thursday when the function runs, it would return the next Thursday at 8:00 P.M.
The completed function only to show the proper date for the latest Thursday at 8:00 P.M. no matter what.
Windows 2000 Server Edition.
